Terms of use
Last updated: October 1, 2026 · Effective: October 1, 2026
1. The service
JFL Informatique provides managed web presence for businesses: hosting, SSL certificate, automatic backups, updates, security monitoring and support by email and phone.
2. Price
$45 CAD per month, plus a one-time setup fee of $150 CAD. Applicable taxes are extra. The setup fee is refundable if we cannot deliver the service. Your domain stays in your name; the annual registrar renewal is paid directly by you.
3. Billing
Billing is monthly, by credit card through Stripe. The charge is taken on the anniversary date of your sign-up. If a payment fails, we retry a few times, then pause the service.
4. Term and cancellation
No long-term contract: you can cancel at any time, with no penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month.
5. On cancellation
Your domain name stays in your name. On cancellation, we give you a copy of your files and help you move your site. Together we agree on the offline date and the backup-retention period.
6. What is included and not included
Included: hosting, SSL, backups, updates, security, support, and small content edits (text, photos, opening hours).
We host and maintain sites that can run on a Linux server, including in a container. If your site is on a platform like Wix or Squarespace, write to us and we will tell you honestly what fits best.
Not included: full redesign, new pages and e-commerce. Email hosting: case by case, on request.
7. Support
By email at contact@jfl.quebec and by phone at 450 238-0464. Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, with a reply within one business day.
8. Your responsibilities
You confirm that you have the right to use your site's content and to comply with applicable laws. You remain the owner of your site, your content and your domain name.
9. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, JFL Informatique's liability is limited to the amounts paid over the last 3 months. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Quebec law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada.
11. Changes
We may change these terms; the version in effect is published on this page.
